Role Summary:

The Supplier Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role within the supply team, primarily focused on expanding the company's product offerings by engaging with suppliers and sellers. Additionally, close collaboration with the operations department is essential to enhance product availability and address issues related to product unavailability.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Expand supplier selection and onboard new brands.

  • Target strategic suppliers for increased product selection.

  • Lead negotiations to boost category growth.

  • Cultivate enduring supplier relationships, fostering growth and brand development.

  • Recruit and onboard new suppliers and sellers.

  • Implement Supplier Acquisition Strategy for mid-tail and long-tail vendors.

  • Manage inventory and forecasting within the assigned category.

  • Collect and maintain supplier data, ensuring daily follow-up.

  • Create long-term solutions to streamline category processes.

  • Collaborate with internal technical and cross-category teams to drive process improvements.

What we're looking for:

  • 2+ of proven experience in supplier acquisition, preferably in a related industry.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • In-depth understanding of supply chain dynamics.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and market research.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of industry trends and market insights.

  • Familiarity with procurement processes and best practices.

  • Effective project management skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or supply chain management, preferred.
